Origin
How QuoteForges started.
QuoteForges was built from real-world frustration. As homeowners and real estate investors, we constantly dealt with contractors who delivered quotes verbally, scribbled numbers on paper, or sent incomplete estimates through email. There was no standardized process, no visibility into project progress, and no easy way to manage payments or communication.
From the customer side, the experience felt outdated and disconnected. We were always asking questions like:When will the contractor be back? What phase are we in? How do I pay? Where’s the updated quote? At the same time, we realized many contractors weren’t intentionally creating a poor experience — they simply didn’t have affordable, modern tools built for the way they actually work.
That gap is what led to QuoteForges: a platform designed to help contractors streamline quoting, communication, project management, and payments all in one place — without the complexity or high costs of traditional software.
Who we are
The people behind it.
Nate has spent most of his adult life renovating homes and working in real estate projects. Through those experiences, he saw firsthand how frustrating the contractor process was from the customer perspective — inconsistent quotes, poor communication, unclear timelines, and outdated systems. After repeatedly dealing with verbal estimates, handwritten invoices, and endless follow-ups, he realized most contractors either lacked the right tools or couldn’t justify the cost of existing software. Nate co-founded QuoteForges to create a modern, affordable platform that simplifies the entire contractor-client experience from quote to completion.
Josh comes from a strong leadership background and has also spent years involved in home renovations and real estate-related work. Working closely with contractors and homeowners exposed him to the operational challenges small and mid-sized contractors face every day — disorganized quoting, payment confusion, and limited customer communication tools. He recognized that many contractors were excellent at their trade but underserved by the technology available to them. Josh helped build QuoteForges to give contractors an easy-to-use platform that improves professionalism, saves time, and creates a better experience for both contractors and clients.
